Hardwood Refinishing in Progress in Murray KY

Here's what we were working with at this Murray job - a living room full of deep scratches and worn finish, plus a bedroom that had hardwood hiding completely underneath old carpet. Two different problems, one house. This is exactly the kind of job we enjoy getting our hands on.

The bedroom floor is what really tells a story. You can see the stark contrast between the freshly sanded wood and the old stained perimeter that was tucked under carpet tack strips for years. That dark, discolored border along the wall is adhesive and old finish residue - it looks rough, but it sands right out. The wood underneath is solid.

The living room is farther along. We've already run the big sander across the main field and the floor is looking much cleaner. The scratches that were cutting through the old finish are gone. That's the thing about hardwood refinishing - what looks like a ruined floor is usually just a surface problem. Sand it back and you're starting fresh.

Once both rooms are fully sanded and prepped, we'll move into the finish stage. The homeowner gets to choose their stain color and sheen level, so the final look is completely custom. That's where our custom stain and finish work really comes into play - getting the color dialed in to match what the homeowner actually wants, not just whatever the last owner picked.
